Continuum Partners Names Donna Blair Chief Operating Officer
(Denver, Colo.) – May 11, 2017 – Continuum Partners, a Denver-based firm known for its award winning urban, mixed-use developments, announced today the appointment of Donna Blair to the position of Chief Operating Officer. With more than 25 years of experience in real estate development and asset management of high-profile commercial office, retail and mixed-use projects, Blair will collaborate with civic and business leaders, as well as oversee the day to day operations of the company.
“We are excited to welcome Donna to Continuum Partners as Chief Operating Officer,” said Mark Falcone, Founder of Continuum Partners. “I first met Donna in the early 2000s while she was at Tishman Speyer on the Rockefeller Center team. Donna has deep operations capability and is also able to think outside the box which is essential for us given the nature of our projects. ”
Blair has worked closely with Continuum Partners in her previous positions, most recently while serving as Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management at Pacific Retail Capital Partners (PRCP), which she joined in 2011. Prior to her role at PRCP, she was the Vice President of Development for Meadowlands Xanadu, a 2M square foot retail, restaurant and entertainment mixed-use project in East Rutherford, NJ. She also served as Development Director for Tishman Speyer Properties, where she oversaw the redevelopment of Rockefeller Center.
Through various joint partnerships with Continuum Partners over the years, Blair has gained insight into the iconic portfolio of projects that Continuum has developed and is inspired by the culture that the founders have fostered. Blair was drawn to Continuum for its ability to immerse itself within a community and further enhance it in a long term, sustainable way.
“Continuum Partners is a vital part of the Denver business community, and I am excited to join such a progressive firm,” said Blair. “The role of Chief Operating Officer is the perfect combination of my diverse expertise in operations, development, finance and leasing and I look forward to building on Continuum’s track record of innovative, successful value creation in this strategic capacity.”
Historically, there have been few women in senior leadership positions in the nation’s real estate market. A 2015 study from Urban Land Institute found that among all ULI members who are chief executives, executive directors, or the top officers in their organizations, only 14 percent are women. In joining Continuum Partners as COO, Blair will not only take her expertise to the next level, but will be a part of an organization that differentiates itself in the real estate industry.
As Chief Operating Officer, Blair will interact closely with each of Continuum’s departments including Overhead Company Management, HR, IT, Operating Policies and Procedures, Expense Management and Budgeting, Revenue Management and Forecasting, Property Management/Operations and Property Reporting, among others, ensuring that each team is properly staffed and supported.
Blair relocated to Denver from Chicago with her husband, Tim, and two teenaged sons.
“We are avid skiers, golfers and outdoor enthusiasts and we are excited to be a part of the growing Denver community and look forward to enjoying all that Colorado has to offer,” said Blair.
